Search Results for delight

Our pursuit of happiness drives almost all of our decisions. But many of us struggle to find true happiness and joy.

This text introduces a new sermon series on the Old Testament books of Ezra, Esther, and Nehemiah, titled "From Disappointment to Delight: The Hidden Hand of God." The speaker explains their transition from studying Ephesians to these perhaps overlooked Old Testament books, noting their relevance to contemporary struggles. The message emphasizes how these books address the common challenge of discerning God's presence during difficult times, whether dealing with personal setbacks, unfulfilled expectations, or various conflicts. The series aims to explore how God works in seemingly discouraging situations, with prayer emerging as a significant theme throughout these three books.
